Graduation Day
Short one today due to travel and the aftereffects of my subscribers' generosity.
I thought I was just doing a funny ha-ha on Friday by putting a donation link up for Chicago Handshakes (the boilermaker combo of Old Style & Malort). $75 later, that joke became a sacred trust, one to be accomplished while also attending my youngest's graduation.
Fortunately, they have lived in Chicago long enough to develop a taste for the 'Lort, and my daughter's boyfriend was also here with the "hell yeah, brother" mentality that you only get from being 27. I had able foot soldiers in this task.
As promised, I sent videos of these poor decisions to the donors. They all pretty much look like this:
I still owe videos to Colleen, Mateo, and Andy. And as soon as I figure out whose phones they're on, I'll send them.
Also I am never doing that again.
The Graduate
Let's hear it for Pip Neuman, honors graduate from Columbia College Chicago.

There was a fantastic New York Times interview with Bob Odenkirk (gift link) a few weeks ago where he mentioned that nothing he's accomplished in his long career will ever compete with parenting:

When I watched Pip stride across the stage and throw horns at the crowd before accepting their diploma, I understood completely. Parenting Celia and Pip was the most fun I'll ever have. And I've been to the Dells.
See you tomorrow!
